Your account reminds me of Gerald Durrell's mom in "My Family and Other Animals", accepting of all, gregarious, "what's one more" attitude are the best mom's! Lovely story, and timely for mother's day. And poignant, something to cherish should she someday not be able to do certain things. My mom is in a home, she's not allowed to cook anymore for herself. You remind me I must remember to appreciate the things she did, I'll let her how much I loved it when she used to always have a soup on the stove, and a spare mattress for my friends. <3Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00281570720602362654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30710387.post-1986927619084596712014-04-27T19:26:31.522-07:002014-04-27T19:26:31.522-07:00Good on your mom!! But perhaps she has done this for so long she feels she 'needs' to keep on doing what she is doing. Hopefully that is not the case. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
